Several online gaming websites are falsely claiming to hold an online gaming license from Belize or
spreading false information about online gaming licensing in Belize. The Government of Belize
advises the general public that any operations involving online gaming activity in Belize are regulated
and require licensing from the Gaming Control Board, as per the Gaming Control Act.

The Government of Belize informs the internet community and the public that Belize currently has a
moratorium on issuing online gaming licenses. As a result of this moratorium, currently no online
gaming companies are currently licensed to operate from Belize. Furthermore, no licenses will
be issued until further notice.

All entities claiming to possess an online gaming license from Belize must immediately cease and
desist, as their operations are unauthorized and illegal. The Ministry urges all internet users to refrain
from engaging in business with such companies.
